I was working on organizing a long, narrow walk-in closet, adding order and trying to create some room for the client to use the space without feeling claustrophobic. I decided to try space-saving hangers (also called single legging organizers) I'd seen online, and wasn't disappointed.

The closet was shared by two people, each with their own side. From the door, I organized the closet starting with tank blouses, short sleeve blouses, longsleeve blouses, skirts, pants, blazers, dresses. I folded all of the blouses together at the shoulder and attached the space-saving hanger. Next, I folded the skirts in half at the waist and attached the hanger to the center. Then, I hung the pants by the bottoms, letting the wider waist hang down.

By the time I got to the blazers, I was three quarters of the way to the back of the closet. The blazers were too bulky and heavy to use the same folding and hanging technique, so I hung the blazers and dressers on regular style hangers, but had already gained double the walking space in three quarters of the closet!

In conclusion, these hangers were helpful as a space saving tool, the clothes did not wrinkle, they are economical, strong for their size, have rubber grips, and are easy to acquire and use.

One drawback could be that they can't be used on very heavy or bulky clothing. However, they did wonders for this adult closet, and would also be great for kids' clothes. All the best,

Evangeline
